A lone runner

Ensete superbum (Musaceae) - monocarpic plant

This attractive and impress e banana-like plant is closely related to the true banana. Unlike banana, Ensete has a sturdy stem swollen at the base, a very short leaf stalk, and does not produce suckers. Fruits are not normally produced in Singapore unless the flowers are artificially pollinated. Fruits are sweet but filled with seeds. The plant dies after flowering and fruiting (monocarpic)

Leadership Lessons from Dancing Guy | Derek Sivers

The surprisingly great book “Personal Development for Smart People” asks you to think about the different areas of your life (career, relationships, spiritual, health, etc.) - and rate your satisfaction in each area from 1 to 10.

But after doing that, the next suggestion impressed me: it said to go through every area you rated a 5, 6, 7, or 8 - and replace it with a 1!  That we should never settle for “it’s not so bad” - and instead face up to what you really want.

To me, ideas are worth nothing unless executed. They are just a multiplier. Execution is worth millions.

AWFUL IDEA = -1
WEAK IDEA = 1
SO-SO IDEA = 5
GOOD IDEA = 10
GREAT IDEA = 15
BRILLIANT IDEA = 20

NO EXECUTION = $1
WEAK EXECUTION = $1000
SO-SO EXECUTION = $10,000
GOOD EXECUTION = $100,000
GREAT EXECUTION = $1,000,000
BRILLIANT EXECUTION = $10,000,000

To make a business, you need to multiply the two.

Praise in one voice in two languages

Faith looks beyond this transient life With hope for all eternity— Not with some vague and wistful hope, But with firm trust and certainty.

D. De Haan in Our Daily Bread | Jun 29, 2011

Instead, biblical hope is a strong and confident expectation that what God has promised in His Word He will accomplish.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

Listening To Ps Derek Hong talk about the Word of God and how the Superstring Theory has just begin to explain what had been recorded for years in the Bible.
